movies synopses

1.

The title of the movies is “Gone with the wind”.  It is directed by Victor Fleming (director) it’s a drama, romance and war movie(Genre). It takes place in the American south during the Civil War and Reconstruction. (1939 )(Setting). Clark Gable is in it (Actor/Actress) It´s about an American classic movie in which a manipulative woman and a roguish man carry on a turbulent love affair in the American south during the Civil War and Reconstruction. (Plot). In the End Scarlett returns to her home in which find her mother dead, her father sliding into madness. Almost Scarlett realizes that she and Ashley were never meant to be together and rushes home to tell Rhett how much she loves him. (Climax).

The title of the movie is THE MATRIX. It is directed by Andy Wachowski,and Lana Wachowski (director) it’s a  Sci-Fi and action movie (Genre). It takes place  in a virtual world called “Matrix” and also in the real world called “earth”, at the future(Setting). Keanu Reeves is in it (Actor/Actress). It´s about a men that meet the true nature of his reality and his role in the war against its controllers, meeting two worlds: the matrix world and the “real world”(Plot). In the End occurs that Neo accepts that he is the one and sacrifices himself to save Zion and  the Machines stop destroying Zion. (Climax).

The title of the movies is terminator. It is directed by James Cameron(director) it’s an Action and Sci-Fi movie(Genre). It takes place in a parallel time between the past and the future in the city of “Los Angeles” (Setting). Arnold Schwarzenegger  is in it (Actor/Actress) It´s about  a cyborg that is send to the past from the future with a mission: kill Sara Connor to prevent him(John Connor) from being born because he is the leader of a resistance group in the war with the machines. (Plot). In the End terminator(Arnold ) kill the “liquid metal shape-shifting T-1000”(Climax).

The title of the movie is PEARL HARBOR. It is directed by Michael Bay (director) it’s an action-drama-war film (Genre). It takes place on the II world war, in “Pearl harbor” (Setting). Ben Affleck is in it (Actor/Actress) It´s about two best friends  and their love lives as they go off to join to the world war II.(Plot). In the End Rafe finds out that Danny is having a love affair with his girlfriend and also the climax is the battle at Pearl Harbor.( Climax).

The title of the movie is DIE HARD. It is directed by John McTiernan(director) it’s an Action, Thriller movie (Genre). It takes place in L.A(Setting).Bruce Willis is in it (Actor/Actress) It´s about  thirty people that are held hostage by German terrorist... But the terrorists are unaware that an armed civilian is running around the building, taking the terrorists out. The civilian is John McClane of the NYPD, at the party with his wife. Without shoes, socks, or a regular shirt, and armed only with a Beretta 92F pistol and his brainpower John fights for his life against the terrorists in this high-octane action thriller. (Plot). In the End he stuck in the office, feeling like he’s blown his chance to get together with his wife. (Climax).

MADAGASCAR 2 : summary of the movie

The movie Madagascar 2 " Escape Africa ", is a wonderful children’s movie, but everyone of us can watch it and enjoy a pleasant moment...this movie is about the adventures (or continuation of adventures of the first movie) of Alex the lion, Gloria the hippo, Marty the Zebra and Melman the giraffe, who find their family, their home, their love but they have to pass many test to find their happiness

This fantastic adventure begins with the past life of Alex, the day that his parents lost him and how he arrived to New York City's Central Park Zoo. In the first movie this story continued when the animals escaped from the park in a boat and went to Madagascar. In this place become great artists. This group of animals has decided to come back to New York City,unfortunately the plane cashes in another place, Africa, their true home, that is their reality “the wildlife", in this place there are many animals similar to them.

The main character is Alex who finds his family after many years. One of the problems of this story is that Alex isn’t the Lion King, he is the King of New York and for this reason his behavior is different to that of others and he disappoint his family specially his father, all of  them are excluded from the lion's group. the other animals also have some problems, Marty discovers that he isn't the only zebra with great abilities and he is very despondent, on the other hand, Gloria finds a handsome hippo but she discovers that her true love is Helman, the giraffe, a friend that always has shared which her the best moments mean while the giraffe is now a doctor and he can tell her...

At the end of the story everyone finds the happiness next to their families and friends. I like the movie because it is very funny and the most important is it has a "moral": happiness is not always in different or strange things, in many cases it is in the most common things, for this reason many times we do not see it

The movie is excellent...

my opinion about the use of Blackberries in class...

I think that the use of Blackberries in class would be allowed with the responsibility of each student. The use of this cell phones shouldn’t be negated but is necessary regulate it. This control depends on the education and culture of each student. As college students and future professionals the use of this equipment is also part of our educations. We have to known when and in what circumstances is necessary use the Blackberry: an important call, an emergency, a project pending is doing in other place and you need to know about it, etc

On the other hand, I understand the arguments of the university to implement this rules, because the students don´t be concentrated in class to see their phones for others reasons different to emergencies…. this is disrespectful for the teachers, classmates but this is also a disrespectful for themselves because everyone is paying for a “ knowledge that not receiving” thanks to own attitude. Just, college is worried about the formation of Javerianos students and which is the image of the university we will show later?
